Bailey Gitzel
Bailey grew up dancing at La Danse from 2007-2018, and is so thankful to be back in the place she loves most. Under the direction of Heather Myers, Hazel-Ann Stark, Linda Erickson, and Kelsey Stone, she grew to love every style of dance she tried. She proudly completed her CDTA Advanced tap and RAD Advanced I ballet exams and attended countless competitions. Bailey furthered her skill and interest in dance by attending a multitude of conventions, intensives, and workshops in Vancouver, Orlando, Toronto, LA, Calgary, Edmonton, and Saskatoon. Some notable experiences include WCA Dance Worlds (Orlando), Tremaine (LA), Harbour Dance Centre (Vancouver), Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre (Toronto), Quinte Ballet School (Belleville), and Swinging with the Stars (Saskatoon). Her past studio dance teaching experience includes We Move SK and Bravo Dance Centre (Martensville).
Bailey recently completed her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology (exercise and sport sciences). From 2018-2022, she was a member of the University of Saskatchewan Dance Team, where she is now the coach of the Field Team. She is continuing her education with a Masters of Science in Exercise and Sport Psychology, with a focus on mental health, active living and physical activity promotion. She will be presenting her current research at the SCAPPS conference this fall, held at Queens University.
Bailey is so excited to share her passion for performance, and hopes to help foster the excellence that is a La Danse dance education.
