OUR APPROACH
Performance as education
Our goal is to provide meaningful performance opportunities to every dancer. We believe that performing — whether on a recital stage or at a competition — is an essential part of a dancer's education, not just a showcase of what they've learned.
Year-end recital
Every dancer, from our youngest tots to senior students, has the opportunity to perform at our year-end recital in June. Held at TCU Place, it's a celebration of everything your dancer has worked toward all year.
Competitions
Select groups attend competitions across Saskatchewan and Alberta. Competitions are chosen for the quality of their adjudication — the goal is meaningful feedback that supports each dancer's growth, not just trophies.
Different stages, different audiences
Performing in front of different audiences in different venues is itself a learning experience. It builds confidence, resilience, and stage presence that can't be replicated in the studio alone.
Attendance at competitions
If your dancer is registered in a competitive class, attendance at all assigned competitions is required. This commitment ensures the group performs at its best and is fair to all dancers in the team.

Year-end recital
Every dancer at La Danse has the opportunity to perform at our year-end recital — one of the highlights of the dance year. Students work with their teachers throughout the year to develop choreography that showcases the skills and artistry they've built in class.
