Megan Lorenz

Megan Lorenz A.R.A.D.R.T.S. Megan has a passion for ballet and has been teaching since 2006. Megan is an associate of the Royal Academy of Dance and holds her registered teaching status with the R.A.D.  She is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique as well as modules 1 and 2 of Alixa Flexibility.  Megan also has experience with the Cecchetti method of ballet.

 

Megan began her teaching career with Juliette’s Dance Centre and later became the R.A.D. Director at Ignite Danceworks Inc., where she trained students in both the competitive and intensive training programs.  Her students have been accepted to professional ballet programs at The National Ballet School of Canada, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, The Alberta Ballet School, and The Goh Ballet. 

 

As a dancer, Megan trained in all styles of dance with a primary focus on ballet.  She completed all of her R.A.D. exams, including Primary to Advanced 2 ballet, the majority with distinction.  She trained with professional schools at The Quinte Ballet School of Canada and The Banff Centre for the Arts.  She also spent three seasons as a company dancer with White Birch Ballet Company before leaving professional dance to pursue her law degree.  In addition to teaching ballet, Megan is a lawyer and mediator. 

 

Megan is thrilled to join the La Danse team and is honoured to pass on her love and knowledge of dance to all of La Danse’s students.
